While some natural fibers, such as linen, have better absorbency than cotton, cotton has far superior absorbency compared to synthetic fibers such as polyester.

The disadvantage of cotton itself is that the fibers tend to shrink and wrinkle, but this is due to its excellent water absorption, which works in reverse.
When the water absorbed during washing dries, the fibers may shrink together.
Keep in mind that if you continue to expose it to direct sunlight or ultraviolet rays, the intensity will decrease and it may cause yellowing.
Basically, cotton is easier to handle than natural materials, so there is little need to be careful.
